Frequently Asked Questions
What does Rheged Solutions do?
Rheged Solutions provides business services supporting individuals and organisations. We have three distinct business areas: Consulting, Resourcing and Learning & Development.
What do you consult and advise on?
Our expertise is in Recruitment and Recruitment Outsourcing. Business leaders from within the HR industry as well as the Recruitment Outsourcing (RO) industry engage Rheged Solutions in the evaluation, design and delivery of Strategic Resourcing and Change Management programmes.
What is Recruitment Outsourcing?
Organisations constantly seek to develop new initiatives and practices to attract new employees. Methods, channels and efficiencies vary, influenced by the organisation's use of recruitment suppliers and the effectiveness of it's own employer recruitment brand. Recruitment
Outsourcing (RO) providers bring resourcing, process and technology support to Human Resource leaders with the design, implementation and management of their resourcing strategy.
What else do you do?
In addition to our Consulting services, Rheged Solutions can resource recruitment professionals to join HR teams, Professional Recruitment and Recruitment Outsourcing firms. Our network of talent is strengthened by our methodology, ensuring we not only find and present recruitment professionals to our clients, but provide a robust training programme that furnishes them with the skills and competencies a career in professional recruitment demands. We even encourage our clients to visit Rheged Academies© programmes as part of their recruitment process.
Where are your offices?
Rheged Solutions
is based at Bourne House, Milbourne Street, in Carlisle, Cumbria.
Our Consulting services are typically performed on our clients own premises whilst Rheged Academies© programmes are conducted close to our offices in the NorthWest.
Are your clients based just in Cumbria?
No. Our clients and prospective clients are located
UK wide as well as overseas. Each organisation we deal with
presents its unique set of challenges and complexities and
organisations vary in size. Ranging from vast global multinational
businesses to successful local enterprises, Rheged Solutions
is able to craft a customised solution whether it is through our Consulting, Resourcing or Learning & Development businesses.
What about your people?
Rheged Solutions is supported by a number
of talented individuals who are responsible for delivering front-line
services. They are assisted by a skilled back-office team that
ensures our projects are comprehensively supported 24/7. From
professional backgrounds, the skills and abilities of these individuals
compliment one another to ensure our rich and diverse service
offering is matched by total client-focus and value-for-money
services across the globe.
Finally, why Rheged Solutions?
We wanted
to give the company a distinctively Cumbrian feel and identity
especially as we are working across regional and national borders.
Inspired by the film “Rheged – The Lost Kingdom” made by Westmorland
Films for The Rheged Discovery Centre in the heart of the English
Lake District, the story charts a young New Yorker’s journey
to England from America as he attempts to discover his native
roots in the English Lakes.
Struck by the relevance of this theme
in relation to today’s
business environment, it is a tale of global mobility, accessibility
and opportunity which is all around us, whether you are an employer,
employee or flexible worker. Moreover, the historical significance
of Rheged as a powerful 6th Century Celtic Kingdom that dominated
most of what is known today as Northern England in the period
after the Romans left and before the Angles, Saxons and Danes
arrived from mainland Europe, reflects an earlier age of mobility
and geographical reach.
Finally the awesome imagery of the Lake District:
vast, deep lakes, breath-taking wilderness and a skyline dominated
by mountains symbolise the traditional business landscape within
which organisations compete for people and individuals strive
to advance. Yet, beyond this horizon there remains a rich,
diverse and highly mobile workforce that can be reached through
imaginative and creative resourcing strategies.
